Kep is still the most beautiful and more relaxed of Cambodia's two beach resorts. No trip to Kep is complete without at least one dish of fresh seafood on the hill side prepared from Chef cook at the Jungle Restaurant.
Upon arrival at Kep, one quickly realizes that this used to be a stunning beach resort area, before the Khmers Rouges, destroyed it to the best of their abilities.
Like the old ruines of Bokor, Kep is dotted with the burned out shells of the once beautiful villas and other buildings.
